Water-repellent, durable and practical. A rare combination of high quality fabrics making one remarkable duffel bag.
We were always fascinated by the long history of the duffel and we are happy to show you our take on this iconic bag, giving it a new life and adapting it to our lifestyles today.
Tram 21 makes sure that each bag is fairly made and of the highest quality. The tannery is set in Alcanena, Portugal - an area with a rich tannery tradition. Tram 21 works with a family that has been perfecting the art of tanning for five generations. They analyze each piece of leather, striving to achieve the highest quality to ensure that the leather they produce for your bags is outstanding.
The waxed cotton used comes from the UK and has a long history, starting in the mid-19th century, when it was first introduced to the sailing industry due to its waterproofing quality. We love the scratches and shades it gains over time. The UK factory is more than 100 years old and its history overlaps with the tale of the waxed canvas.
