This is a shoulder bag that is remarkable by it's compact and thin profile, made of waxed canvas and saddle leather. The bag will be happy to welcome a 15 inch laptop, cables, phone, keys, books and other things that you wouldn't think a compact bag like this would be able to carry.
I used the finest British waxed canvas to make this shoulder bag and I am happy to say I created another extraordinary product.
The shades it gets over time make the waxed canvas a special fabric. And because of that, the saddle leather is the high class partner it deserves to have. A thick yet delicate leather, ready to support the most important parts of this backpack: the straps, the bottom and the top cover.
Both the waxed canvas and the saddle leather evolve and get better over time. Every scratch is recorded and the marks and the shades will remind you of all the journeys you took, to discover the world and to discover yourself. I see this two materials like a photographic film who captures the present for the future.
To preserve the character of the fabrics and to make them last longer, I waterproofed the leather and the lining. Together with the waxed canvas, they make an amazing handbag, ready for a long walk on a rainy day. - Bogdan, Tram 21

Tram 21 makes sure that each bag is fairly made and of the highest quality. The tannery is set in Alcanena, Portugal - an area with a rich tannery tradition. Tram 21 works with a family that had been perfecting the art of tanning for five generations. They analyze each piece of leather, striving to achieve the highest quality to ensure the quality of the leather they produce for your bags is outstanding.
The waxed cotton used comes from the UK and it has a long history, starting from the mid-19th century, when it was first introduced in the sailing industry, due to its waterproofing quality. Even if it was eventually replaced by synthetic materials, waxed canvas is still used not least due to its characteristic appearance. We love the scratches and shades it gains over time. The UK factory is more than 100 years old and their history overlaps with the waxed canvas history itself.
Every year, we select a charitable organization to which we can provide a portion of our proceeds. Check our INSIDE OUR #JETSETFORGOOD CAMPAIGN page for details on which non-profit we decided to work with this year.

Based in Brussels, Tram 21 is an enthusiastic team of three, creating bags that will travel with you for many years, silently witnessing your journeys. The team is fascinated by objects that travel through time, things that somebody will find after many years at the back of a closet and wonder: how old is this bag? how many travels did it go on? how many more can it take with me?
