Day 1: Arrive at Salta
Upon arrival at Salta airport, a chauffeur will wait for you at your gate to transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have time to explore the city on your own before gathering with the Mono 500 team for dinner. You are sure to enjoy a relaxing evening in Salta and delight in local specialities. You will be accommodated with a spacious colonial-style bedroom, in a quiet and central place downtown.
Day 2: SALTA - IRUYA (Distance: 300km with 60km off-road)
The start of this great riding adventure begins by heading north to "La Cornisa," a true "playground" for riders with tight corners and beautiful curves as the tour passes through a luxurious forest. From the city of Jujuy is the start of the famous Quebrada de Humahuaca mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2003. Cross typical villages of Tilcara and Humahuaca along the way, and a 4,000m high pass before reaching the beautiful Iruya village. The view from your room offer spectacular panoramic views of the canyon below.
Day 3: IRUYA - LA QUIACA (Distance: 220-km with 110km off-road)
Ride back via a different track to exit the canyon. Once the asphalt road is reached, head to "Abra Pampa," a small town known as the "Argentinian Siberia." Here, on the Altiplano highlands, you'll encounter herds of vicunas, llamas and guanacos. A long off-road ride on a technical but gorgeous track brings you to Yavi, a village where time seems to have stopped. Finally, the last stop of the day will take you to La Quiaca, the last Argentinean town at the Bolivian border. Spend the night in a nice hostel, where a warm welcome from the landlords and specially prepared local cuisine will be waiting for you.
Day 4: LA QUIACA - TILCARA (Distance: 280km with 130km off-road)
This stage of the tour will have you riding along the edge of the north-west Argentinean territory through beautiful hard-sandy tracks and each Angosto's canyon. Cross over the northern pampa to discover the legendary "Laguna de Pozuelos," where 40 species of bird come to breed, including the famous flamingos. The national Road 9 will lead the tour down to the Quebrada de Huamahuaca and the town of Tilcara. Spend the night in a beautiful hotel, with a spacious room and a beautiful terrace view of the Quebrada.
Day 5: TILCARA - SAN ANTONIO (Distance: 310km with 140km off-road)
On this day, we will head west towards the exciting "Cuesta de Lipan" and its 99 perfectly asphalted curves! Arriving at top, you will witness a sensational panorama with a snow cap summit in the far distance. On the other side, a unique experience is waiting for you: riding "Las Salinas Grandes," a great salt lake desert measured against the horizon line. Continue in the highlands on a Dakar Rally tracks with its dusty and sandy trails along the Chilean border. Spend the night in San Antonio de los Cobres, a mining town 3,800m high, a subtle, yet gentle reminder of the quiet remoteness of this small village. Stay at a comfortable hostel for the night.
Day 6: SAN ANTONIO - CACHI (Distance: 150km with 140km of trails)
Your mission, should you decide to accept it: Abra del Acay! The highest road in north/south America, culminating at 4900m, will surely defy us and the iron beast. Once at the top, the scenery is magical as we look up to El Nevado del Acay summit and its 5750m. On the way down, the road narrows and requires our full attention as we arrive in the small Andean village of Cachi. The night will be spent in a charming boutique-hotel, at the heart of the adorable town of Cachi.
Day 7: CACHI - CAFAYATE (Distance: 160km with 140km off-road)
This portion of the tour is considered one of the best stretch of riding along the famous Ruta 40 (Road 40). After 50km, on which you'll pass a few isolated villages, the path narrows before arriving at Quebrada de Las Flechas, which features impressive rocky layers and sharp vertical peaks! The road then weaves through the villages of Angastaco and Molinos, before arriving in Cafayate and its world renowned vineyards. In Cafayate, you will be rewarded with a stunning estancia, and a lovely view of the vineyards.
Day 8: REST DAY AND CAFAYATE'S VINEYARDS TOUR
Built against buttresses of the Andes mountain range, Cafayate is known as a paradise where the sun and good wine prevail. This charming village with its colonial allure is situated at the heart of 12,000 hectares of vineyards - ideal for those interested in discovering the best grape varieties in the region. It's possible to organize a bodega visit or a horse riding excursion at your convenience, just let us know!
Day 9: CAFAYATE - SALTA (Distance: 200km on asphalted road)
For the final ride, the tour heads north towards Salta. The rocky mountain range is getting even more colorful as the ride passes through "Las Conchas" canyon and its inspiring rocky sculptures. Mastering the final curves on this astonishing road, you'll arrive at "Devil's Throat" for a well-deserved break, which features a beautiful amphitheater to enjoy one last scenic panorama. Arrive at Salta, passing through local tobacco fields, and recall the great adventure one last time when you feast on traditional Argentinian BBQ! Stay at comfortable hotel with a spacious colonial-style bedroom, in a quiet and central place downtown. You will leave the next day according to your flight schedule.

In order to ensure placement of tour, a 38% deposit is required and must be transferred by bank transfer upon receipt of invoice to Jetset Times. Remaining 62% balance of tour price to be paid in cash (USD) on location upon arrival at Salta. Cash is the preferred payment for remaining amount due. However, you may also pay the remaining amount via bank transfer (6% additional fee associated with bank transfer).
A security deposit of USD$1,000 is required per person on tour, and will be requested at the beginning of the tour. Security deposit will be returned to the customer at the end of the tour if no damages have been made to the motorcycle. If you are responsible for any damage, the necessary fixing cost will be deducted from your deposit.
In case of cancelation made more than 60 (sixty) days before the date of commencement of the tour, the entire deposit will be refunded minus deduction of USD$250 application fee. In case of cancelation made more than 30 (thirty) days before the date of commencement of travel, 50% deposit will be refunded minus deduction of USD$250 application fee. In case of cancelation made less than 30 (thirty) days before the start date of the trip, no refund will be allowed of the deposit in compensation of expenses incurred, and excludes the possibility of seeking additional damages, if necessary. No trip interruption or termination of tour by the customer for any reason whatsoever shall not be subject to refund and/or compensation.
Upon your arrival at Salta airport, a chauffeur will await you at the designated gate to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. At the end of the tour, a chauffeur will transfer you back to the airport for your departing flight.
Depending on your nationality, it is up to you to check and meet the visa requirements.

All persons on tour are required to have medical insurance prior to start of tour. Must provide proof of insurance in order to complete booking process.

All experience levels are welcome, from novice to expert.
March to November: Dry season. Temperatures are nice in the plains but cooler at altitude (20/28C daytime and 10/15C nighttime).
Local currency is in pesos. It's advised to bring cash for your daily expenses and souvenirs. It is completely safe to carry cash on your person in Argentina, especially if you're paying the remaining balance of the tour price in cash, which is the best option to avoid the 6% additional fee associated with bank transfer.
