Day 1: ARRIVE AT QUITO – CONNECTING FLIGHT TO MANTA
Before arriving at Manta, you'll have a stopover in Quito, capital city of Ecuador. This old colonial city, is a beauty to behold and it's well worth arriving a day early to explore it. The best option is to arrive one day in advance and take a whole day to walk around. Your connecting flight to Manta will arrive around 6 p.m. (Avianca or TAME airlines), and the Mono 500 team will wait for you and drive you to Santa Marianita (15-minute drive) where the Mono 500 lodge is located.
Day 2: CHILLING IN SANTA MARIANITA
Take full advantage of this cozy lodge and its beautiful white sand beach to recovery from your long flight. The team will take time to introduce you to the garage and your trusty iron beast, and prep you for the upcoming adventure.
Day 3: SANTA MARIANITA – MONTANITA (Distance: 180km)
After an introduction to local traffic, you will hit the "sun road," this magnificent road goes along Ecuadorian beaches and offers idyllic panoramas. You can take a jump in the water anytime you want on the road to Montanita. Montanita shelters one of the most prized beaches along the way, which is ideal for surfing, chilling and tasting local rum cocktails. Spend the night a a charming resort.
Day 4: MONTANITA – BABAOYO (Distance: 240km)
Starting from Montanita's beach, head north and branch off inland to fertile fields. Changing landscapes, you will now ride passed bananas and exotic fruits plantations, cocoa and tobacco fields. It's a marvelous opportunity to meet with local Ecuadorian producers and farmers. By sunset, stop at a local farm for great food and all the comfort required for a good night's rest.
Day 5: BABAHOYO – CUENCA (Distance: 240 km)
Start the climb toward the Andes along beautiful asphalted winding roads. It won't be too long before you'll ride by natural reserves and 4,300m high passes. Arrive at the welcoming town of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. This colonial-style city deserves to be explored for its historical center, which features beautiful balconies and other cultural delights. Dinner will be held in a downtown restaurant before resting at a 3-star hotel with relaxing thermal bath.
Day 6: CUENCA - BAÑOS (Distance: 400 km)
Going North! Continue on the route across the Andes along the Pan American highways bordered by numerous snowcapped volcanoes; traverse several curves and passes while riding along this stretch of mythical roadway. The impressive 4,600m high Chimborazo volcano is a sight to behold before heading down on the other side of the Andes to the Amazon rainforest. In the afternoon, go off-road to reach Tunguraguhua Volcano. End the day at the city of Baños where various activities are available on demand: thermal bath, zip lining, night market visits and more. Spend the night at a modest, yet comfortable hotel.
Day 7: BAÑOS – PUERTO MISAHUALLI (Distance: 160km)
Enter the Amazon rainforest and discover a new eco-system will be the main goal of the day. A sharp descent drop in altitude means you'll quickly find yourself in the heart of dense forest. Following rivers and sugar cane fields on well asphalted roads will be the next leg of the tour as you reach a luxurious lodge located at the heart of the jungle.
Day 8: IMMERSION IN THE AMAZON RAINFOREST
Rest day, dedicated to explore the Amazon rainforest. A variety of activities will be available: *rowing a pirogue on the Napo river, *hiking in the rainforest, *observing birds species or just relaxing in the hotel's hammock. *All excursions are optional
Day 9: PUERTO MISAHUALLI – LAGO SAN PABLO (Distance: 310km)
Leave the Amazon behind and head towards the Andes, passing Quito on the east. Follow a spectacular range of volcanoes before taking a break at the the infamous "Mitad del Mundo" (Middle of the World) equator line. Two more hours of intense winding roads follow before arriving at San Pablo lake, where you'll spend the night in a charming and comfortable cottage.
Day 10: LAGO SAN PABLO – QUILOTOA (Distance: 280km)
Pass Quito for a second time, riding along backroads to avoid traffic and enjoy the back country. Your trusty Royal Enfield will bring you to a 3,000m pass before merging with the highest stretch of the Panamerican highways. At the end of the day, give the motorcycles a rest at the bottom of the majestic Quilotoa volcano, a restful ecolodge where you'll stay for the night.
Day 11: QUILOTOA – SANTA MARIANITA (Distance: 400km)
In the morning, discover the imposing Quilotoa volcano with its crater sheltering an astonishing turquoise lake, pass through a beautiful and easy off-road track along the way. In the afternoon, ride slow down the Andes and cross verdant fields and exotic plantations on the way. By the end of the day, Pacific ocean beaches will welcome you with the best Ecuadorian food: ceviche and seafood enthusiasts delight! Arrive in Santa Marianita and stay at the Mono 500 lodge for the night and a delicious dinner with the team.

In order to ensure placement of tour, a 38% deposit is required and must be transferred by bank transfer upon receipt of invoice to Jetset Times. Remaining 62% balance of tour price must be paid at least 30 days prior to departure date of tour via online bank transfer.

A security deposit of USD$1,000 is required per person on tour, and will be requested at the beginning of the tour. Security deposit will be returned to the customer at the end of the tour if no damages have been made to the motorcycle. If you are responsible for any damage, the necessary fixing cost will be deducted from your deposit.
In case of cancelation made more than 60 (sixty) days before the date of commencement of the tour, the entire deposit will be refunded minus deduction of USD$250 application fee. In case of cancelation made more than 30 (thirty) days before the date of commencement of travel, 50% deposit will be refunded minus deduction of USD$250 application fee. In case of cancelation made less than 30 (thirty) days before the start date of the trip, no refund will be allowed of the deposit in compensation of expenses incurred, and excludes the possibility of seeking additional damages, if necessary. No trip interruption or termination of tour by the customer for any reason whatsoever shall not be subject to refund and/or compensation.
Upon your arrival at Salta airport, a chauffeur will await you at the designated gate to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. At the end of the tour, a chauffeur will transfer you back to the airport for your departing flight.
Depending on your nationality, it is up to you to check and meet the visa requirements.
Though not required, it's advised to receive the following vaccinations: Yellow fever, Hepatitis A and B, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Poliomyelitis. Speak with your physician to find out if these vaccinations are right for you.
All persons on tour are required to have medical insurance prior to start of tour. Must provide proof of insurance in order to complete booking process.

You must hold a valid motorcycling International driving license A category.
All experience levels are welcome, from novice to expert.
Warm and humid. Temperatures are steady and pleasant throughout the year (20/30°C during the day and - 10°C/15°C at night). Expect hot tropical intermediate rain showers on the trip, especially when traveling through the Amazon jungle and Andean passes.
Local currency is in US dollar. It's advised to bring cash for your daily expenses and souvenirs. It is completely safe to carry cash on your person in Ecuador.
