Please wash before first use. A gentle wash with cold water in the washing machine or hand wash makes the Peshtemal more absorbent and aids in softening the fabric. Hang dry and use cool iron only. The more you utilize your beloved Handloom piece, the softer it becomes. Don't worry about pulled threads! We pay great attention to detail and know life happens, so these fabrics are handwoven and won’t unravel. If any threads are pulled, simply trim them with scissors. No harm, no foul.
"I read the other review about the color being a little darker than the photo, but mine pretty much matched. It must be the the natural fabrics and how they absorb color. Love mine and can wear it on a day of running errands or out to a nice dinner! It always feels like I am wearing the right thing when I am in it."
"The fabric, color, and nice loose fit of this kimono are all perfect! I got the beige and I love it, although the darker strip is a bit more mustard looking than I expected."
"This kimono is exactly what you want it to be. Heavy enough to be a substantial item of clothing yet still super light and flowy. Extremely versatile in that I can dress it up and pair it with boots and jeans or simply throw it over a swimsuit. Extremely soft fabric and quality construction make for the perfect kimono. I get so many compliments every time I wear it!"

"The Handloom features apparel and home goods, handcrafted with a blend of traditional Turkish culture and the Southern California sun. We are not lost souls; we are resilient travelers wandering in search of art in a preoccupied world. The Handloom is a minimalist lifestyle brand, blending bohemian chic with oriental tradition. The Handloom strives to be the cultural bridge between the ancient ways of Turkey and free-spirited individuals in the U.S. It is the result of creative lifestyles coming together through fashion, design, nature and the outdoors. Now taking shape in Southern California, The Handloom brings a classic panache intertwining beauty and heritage.
These one-of-a-kind garments are handmade and made of 100% Turkish cotton. Variances may occur in color and weave due to unique hand-looming process. Each garment has its own story and hand-loomed by skilled, local artisans in the remote villages of Turkey. Our manifesto is to uphold the hand-looming art form that has been overtaken by mass production and bring it back to a personal, craftsmanship level.
Each Handloom product has its own story. Traditional Turkish fabrics and handmade goods crafted with a delicate focus on detail and quality. Each piece is custom made, drawing inspiration from the rhythm of a big city to the smallest elements found quietly in nature. Nature, warm sandy beaches, clear blue waves, the mountains, the seasons; this is where creativity is born. This is what enchants the soul. Handloom is comfort for the traveler’s soul."
